Mandrake offered you to make a rescue disk during installation, did you do it? Thought not... ;-) Put the Mandrake CD in the drive, and at the first prompt type: vmlinuz root=<root device> ro[enter] I can't tell you what you <root device> is because I don't know - it's one of the paritions on your HD where you installed Mandrake. A good guess would be /dev/hda5 or /dev/hda6 (that is the 1st or second logical volumes in an extended parition on the primary IDE drive) but it can be other things as well. Just make a few tries with different values. When you manage to boot, remember to run 'lilo' to restore the lilo MBR and remember: friends don't let friend to do Windows ;-) Godo luck, Gilad. > > Thank you. > > > ================================================================= > To unsubscribe, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with > the word "unsubscribe" in the message body, e.g., run the command > echo unsubscribe | mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] > -- Gilad Ben-Yossef <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> http://benyossef.com "Hail Eris!
