Hi, List – I have machine with 2xGbps NIC attached to PCI 66MHz/64-Bits Bus. OS version: linux 2.4.9-32SMP with the latest e1000 driver.
>From my personal calculation I should again bandwidth of >1Gbps on the PCI Bus But actually I succeed to again only ˝ Gbps bandwidth on the PCI Bus, I check the “/proc/net/PRO_LAN_Adapters/eth2.info” counters file and I saw there that the errors counters are increasing: Rx_Errors 178929 Tx_Errors 0 Rx_Length_Errors 0 Rx_Over_Errors 0 Rx_CRC_Errors 0 Rx_Frame_Errors 0 Rx_FIFO_Errors 126548 Rx_Missed_Errors 126548 Tx_Aborted_Errors 0 Tx_Carrier_Errors 0 Tx_FIFO_Errors 0 Tx_Heartbeat_Errors 0 Tx_Window_Errors 0 Rx_Long_Length_Errors 0 Rx_Short_Length_Errors 0 Rx_Align_Errors 0 Rx_Csum_Offload_Errors 0 Can it point to a problem with my PCI Bus? Does some one see thus error before? I will appreciate if some one can suggest what can be the problem.
