Hi People, First, I would like to thank to Nadav Har'El for letting me put the updated QT RPMS on Ivrix servers. Thanks a lot.
Over the last day I had worked on fixing the QT RPMS that comes with RedHat 7.2 and Redhat 7.3 beta (including the latest updates from skipjack - they don't include this fix). this should give some speed imrprovment when you browse on heavy graphics web sites with Konqueror.. RPMS, SRPM, spec, and the fixed qt-3.0.3-fixes patch - are all available at: ftp://ftp.ivrix.org.il/pub/ivrix/hetz/qt-rpms/ I hope HTTP access: http://ivrix.org.il/pub/ivrix/hetz/qt-rpms will be open soon ( it's not my server).. The RPMS are also for KDE 3.0 for RedHat 7.2 since the same bug appears there, but I didn't try them yet. If you're just playing with KDE and not planning to compile any QT/KDE app - then just upgrade the qt-3.0.3-11A_QT_fixes rpm. If you plan to compile - then upgrade the qt-devel rpm also.The rest of the RPMS are for database connectivity etc, so please check what QT-3 rpms you got before updating them (rpm -qa | grep qt - look at the 3.0.3 rpms).. If you're planning to recompile qt - then just replace the qt-3.0.3-fixes.patch with the RedHat 7.3 QT SRPM and recompile it. No need to change there anything else. A SRPM is also included if you want to download it.. Those RPMS are for i386 as I don't have access to Alpha, Sparc or other platforms..
