It looks up when pointing your browser to it.
However the distributions mirrors are dead: following the links gives
nothing. Same is when trying to directly ftp to ftp.linux.org.il with a
text mode ftp client: looks dead. Bezeqint support desk got the same
result, although for them a text mode ftp client was able to connect to
192.117.122.34. For me the IP address gives nothing, just like the site
name.

In addition, pointing lynx to www.linux.org.il does not show the site.
That is, it seems to make the http connection and get stuck in that
phase. I do not know if this is meaningful but other sites that are
hosted by Actcom (or that is what I think), like www.whatsup.org.il and
www.plonter.co.il give exactly the same behavior. However when
mentioning lynx I should say that going to www.yahoo.com is not smooth:
lynx seems to stop after making the http connection, just like with the
Israeli sites mentioned above. Yet with www.yahoo.com I can press ^G
(lynx cancellation command) and after that it does load the site. These
does not work with the Israeli sites mentioned above. Is that some sign
for the fact that there is a redirection? In the past lynx used to show
the URL for which there is a redirection to.

I guess that not being able to wget the site with a short wget command
is another side of the same coin:

$ wget www.linux.org.il
--16:14:15--  http://www.linux.org.il/
           => `index.html.5'
Resolving www.linux.org.il... done.
Connecting to www.linux.org.il[192.117.122.34]:80...

And that is it. Get stuck here.
