Greetings
I already tried to get some answers but failed,
please answer if you will
I'm using Suse 7.1 with sendmail-8.11.2-4 (i tried
the same with sendmail-tls-8.11.2-13). the mail server is behind server and
being NAT'ed. i have no problem using it from the local network
(192.168.x.x) it will relay to anyone coming from LAN
192.168.x.x
But, the laptop users use the real IP
(yoqneam.atwwm.com) and it's refuse to relay to anyone besides meetu.com.
/etc/mail/relay-domains tells sendmail to relay to
meetu.com and atwwm.com (i also wrote the LAN addresses)
i assume the only way to make it relay ANY to ANY
from the internet is to open it completely and then help the spammers.
right?
I want to make it authenticate SMTP requests, i
followed the instructions in http://www.ledge.co.za/scripts.phtml?page=smtpauth and
its authenticating.
the problem is that Sendmail answers to EHLO and
HELO as well. i want it to accept authenticated users and kick out non
authenticated requests
I just cant find the right way to do it, any ideas
Please??
thanks all
