I have a regular internet connection via phone line. the modem is on ttyS1. every now and then the connection fails, i mean the modem light dont respond even though i try to load the page a few times. after a few minutes the modem is hanged up. pppd:hangup (SIGHUP) there is nothing before it in /var/log/messages. the problem occurs when i try loading "heavy" sites like amazon. when i get connected again immidiatly after the disconnection everything works just fine... until the next time... does any1 has any idea where 2 start looking 4 the problem? i don't think it's the ISP cause i have my brother useing the same connection on windows XP and it works fine.
