Really? look at your update next time - hint, it won't be only evolution RPM, 
it will be few more parts...

But you do when you're comparing the updates, Diego..
As for code modifications - the front end doesn't need to be modified (well, 
almost, depends on platform, endianness, OS, etc)..

It called "dependencies" - and both got quite a lot of them, while IMHO GNOME 
got more dependencies.

Diego, you'll need GTK 1.X for quite a long time dear, there are tons of 
applications who needs them and won't be ported.

Really depends - there might be an app that you want to use which needs GTK V2 
- so you'll need both of them. Thanks to Linux/Unix infrastructure - you can 
put them both together.
