In case you don't know those in advance, can you:

* list contents of directories? (ls /boot)
* display the contents of files? (cat /etc/lilo.conf)
* Will it follow symlinks? (/vmlinuz -> /boot/vmlinuz-<something> )

Happen to have it in a format that is writable by rawrite? I figure that
this requires just those two blocks in one file. But does the whole stage2
fit in one block?
