in /etc/sysconfig :

[root@mail sysconfig]# cat sendmail
DAEMON=yes
QUEUE="0"
[root@mail sysconfig]#

i changed it from "1" to "0" , so nothing will not go via the queue..
why is that wrong ?
it seems that after changing that, messages are delayed for less time in the 
queue...

yes...
ip's for the server itself and the local lan calss...
