You'll need some updates to Qt aswell to get the Ctrl-Shift working as you're used to in the composer. They will be in Qt 3.0.2 but that won't come out this week. I'll update qt-copy of KDE if I find the time. > You'll need to force encoding if you're getting email from HotMail, since > the assholes don't add any encoding fields... > > As for the feature Max has asked - it's there, working nicely (my friend > tested it), and kmail seems to be pretty stable as it is right now. > > * Konqueror: > The situation is better now with Visual Hebrew, but there are still some > problems with Logical hebrew like pages in walla (you may notice that Walla > web-server thinks that Konqueror is Netscape 4.x so it gives you visual > hebrew pages - you'll need to use the User-Agent configuration to cheat > Walla web server to think it's an Internet Explorer. The walla problem is a bit tricky, So I didn't get the fix into the beta anymore. But I'm working on it. > Few pages who are known to have problems: > > * Globes - looks horrifying, but it seems Galeon doesn't like their pages > either... Seems to be a problem with their javascript. It looks ok if you diable jscript for that page. > * Excelnet - clipping on the right side shows a bit funny > * Nana - seems that the main pages got some mix with the pictures. > > * forcing hebrew text right-alignment. > Lars is finishing to add a hack that CTRL right shift would work in > non-rich-text editing, so you'll be able to press the above keys and have > all the text right aligned. > > Rich text alignment is still based on line-by-line - as it should be. It'll be in tomorrows qt snapshot. > As for those who don't know the terms: > rich-text-edit = WordPad in Windows > non-rich-text-edit = NotePad in Windows > > Help is needed - but you don't have to be a programmer to help, just submit > some html sample code that doesn't work to bugs.kde.org - this will help a > lot.. If you do so (and know a little html), please try to strip down the html page as much as possible and submit a small testcase. It takes me a lot less time like that and I can hopefully fix more problems :) The Beta still has some problems with right to left languages, but I really hope we can fix most of them before the final release of KDE3.
