Well, Xine of-course does have the surround support as well as the 
digital-out connection support...

But - in order to use this - you'll have to upgrade your... you guessed it - 
Sound Blaster driver..

Grab a snapshot of the driver from: http://opensource.creative.com, read the 
instructions, compile and install - you got tons of options to play with. 
After all - Sound Blaster live chip (the Emu10k) is a very advanced sound 
chip with lots of neat tricks...
