Maybe it's die-hard Linuxers (like many people on this list) whose employer (ba'al hame'a hu ba'al hade'a...) forces them to use Outlook, MS-Word, or such crap. It's an alternative to vmware, vnc, or (the horror!) a second computer running Windows. Sure, the fact that Lindows comes (as people described - I didn't check it myself) with some badly configured Debian doesn't sound great; Their next versions will probably let you install it on an existing installation of a common Linux distribution (at least, it would make sense.
