Is anyone upgrading? Going to donate that working Pentium 166 or (gasp!) still unrecycled 486 to the local community center that won't be able to load Office XP on it anyway?
If it is in full working condition (and especially if it has a functional network card, and especially if it has run Linux successfully in the past, i.e. no hardware-related quirks under our favourite OS), I'll be willing to pay a symbolic amount for it (maybe even for a few). If you were going to just throw it away, let me know when and where (within easy driving distance from Herzlia/Raanana, i.e. greater TA is fine but not J-m or Haifa) - I'll come to pick it up and offer you a free beer ;-). No need for huge hard disks (well, I intend to install a not-too-obsolete no-frills Linux on it, and nowadays it is what? 80M minimum?), or a lot of memory (though 32M will be nice). And I *don't* need monitors, keyboards, rodents, sound, etc. Thanks, and please don't bother the list with offers - use private email. -- Oleg Goldshmidt | [EMAIL PROTECTED] If it aint't broken it hasn't got enough features yet. ================================================================= To unsubscribe, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the word "unsubscribe" in the message body, e.g., run the command echo unsubscribe | mail [EMAIL PROTECTED]
