By the way: I want to use milter (or another plug-in interface of sendmail) to strip executable attachments from incoming messages (EXE, COM, PIF, LNK, BAT, SCR, etc.), save them in a server archive, and send an automatic response to the sender, telling him that his attachment was stripped, and that if it was a virus it is suggested to clean his hard disk, and if it isn't - to contact the receiver in order to transfer the attachment in a safer way.
Is there already something similar? Is there a code sample that can be used to start from (C code is OK, of course)? Should I plug such a filter into sendmail, or should I choose another mail server? Which? In case that sendmail is the right server, is milter good and easy for such a task?
