Strange thing - in my 2 rh72 systems changing ip address in '/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0' followed by '/etc/init.d/network restart' does not work. Rebooting does, but i am not ready for this... The NICs are 3C509 and eepro100, one per system, and the kernels are 2.4.9 -redhat-rpms. I would not like use any custom ways to configure redhat, because these are the systems that our customers want to manage according to Red Hat manuals. Such a confusing thing....
