I wrote some code that uses the Floating-Point unit, inside a Linux
kernele module and tried to run it on a dual SPARC. However, I get the
following error:

Jan 8 09:45:55 linux kernel: \|/ ____ \|/
Jan 8 09:45:55 linux kernel: "@'/ ,. \`@"
Jan 8 09:45:55 linux kernel: /_| \__/ |_\
Jan 8 09:45:55 linux kernel: \__U_/
Jan 8 09:45:55 linux kernel: perl(2270): Kernel gets FloatingPenguinUnit
disabled trap

( Ugly OOPs code follows).

The machine went on running.

Can I run FPU instructions inside the Linux kernel on a SPARC (not
UltraSparc)?
