I assume you refer to http://plasma-gate.weizmann.ac.il/Linux/maillists/ 01/12/msg00378.html: (1) With a Debian installation I would change to the 2nd VT and run fdisk looking whether it seems reasonable. I guess that other distros have similar tools. (2) I couldn't see any zip file with more details.
