Actually, this is off-topic, but if anybody knows how charset definitions
should work with Solaris 8, please contact me, as at the computer at work
the iso-8859-8 charset is not availble, and the sysadmin doesn't know what
needs to be done to add it.
$ locale -m
iso_8859_1/charmap.src
And indeed iso_8859_1 is the only subdirectory of /usr/lib/localedef/src
