Hello,
I'm having what I suspect is hardware problem:
Symptoms: random crashes, "make clean ; make dep ; make bzImage" never
completes from start to end without at least one crash (gcc reports
segfault).
Question is, how can I make sure this is indeed hardware problem, and
how can I find out what component is failing. The system is rackmount
server without any VGA card, so I cannot boot to anything but linux. Are
there any hardware diagnostics programs that can pinpoint the exact
problem? I tried memtest86, but it reported nothing. Also, overheating
does not appear to be an issue.
Any help is appreciated.
Haim.
