Well, first - it is not X that's dead, it's KDE.
Second, that, in itself, is only for the good.
Third, you might remove the KDE or re-install kdelibs. I suggest
removing KDE.
Fourth, log in non-graphicly.
Fifth, log-in failsafe, there is an option for that in kdm, IIRC.
Sixth, SHORTEN YOUR BLOODY SIGNATURE FROM 8237468271346 lines!
