When you're joining a domain, AFAIK, the only thing which's supposed to
authenticate is the Primary Domain Controller (which happens to be the
Win2K). So, the user logs in to the PDC (a.k.a Login Into Network),
and then can access your Samba server with his/her permissions
(your Samba server doesn't get a word in the authentication).
But that's AFAIK, so don't flame :)
