Hi list,
I'm trying to establish NIS in my network.
It worked pretty well when all the machines were RH 6.2,
after that I upgraded the NIS server to RH7.0 (with all the updates from
updates.redhat.com). Since then 6.2 clients cannot connect to 7.0 server, but 7.0
clients perfectly do. What did I miss?
Versions of yp are as follows:
Server (RH7.0):
ypserv-1.3.11.-9
Clients:
on 6.2 machines:
ypbind-3.3-28
yp-tools-2.4-1
on 7.0 machines:
ypbind-1.6-11
yp-tools-2.4-4
