Before you go to download QT 2.2.3, you should download QT 2.2.4 as it got
some bug fixes there..

Now, regarding the versions of the QT:

The QT X11 Free edition is just the QT that we all know - including the
docs, and QT Designer - so you can use KDE and other QT based applicaions
with it, as well as to develop GPL'd applications. For commercial
application - you'll need to buy the QT commercial edition.

The QT/Embedded - is a special version of QT which is intended to use on
machines without X windows (the small machines that also run Windows CE),
and it's supporting Frame Buffer graphics display.
