Finally managed to build it:

Haven't tested it much (I did compile MathML support in ;-)
BTW: the source was full of files with CR chars, which annoyed cpp on many
occasions, and thus had to be removed.
crlf from fixDos ( http://e.co.za/marius/downloads/misc/ ) proved to be
very handy for the job.
