you silly goose. _you_ said you type 'samba start'. what exactly is this
'samba' thing, if not a script??? look at it. use 'whereis samba' or
'which samba' to find it. you need to learn some general unix things, if
you want to call yourself 'sys admin'. not being able to look at the
sciprt whose name you're actually using is not a very good sign, not if
you're a sys admin for a few month already... (or more?).
do open a beginners unix book (e.g. unix for dummies, unix in a nutshell,
etc) and learn some more about your shell. this isn't windows NT here...
then learn about shell scripts, and hwo to debug them. that's one of the
basic things for a sys admin to know.
