Test whether your server is visible from the outside:
For example
telnet yourname.ddns.com 25
Also, check the maillog - Sendmail needs to have a well configured name when
it starts.
Another issue is that the d-dns provider might have MX record that takes
all the mail for the domain as someone here mentioned. You can check this
with the nslookup utlity.
nslookup - relay.huji.ac.il
set type=mx
yourname.ddns.com
I can recommend you a d-dns provider that does not have such restriction (MX
record) but charges money for the service.
