Hi!
This problem is a mistery to me. it is some quirk that the ISP do and
breaks http for NAT clients. What you should do is run an apache server
with proxy enabled on the linux that connects the adsl and use this proxy
with all other hosts. In fact, this strange problem disapear if you use
Actcom as your ISP (but then you get modem speed with your ADsL ...).
