HardDrake, or lothar is it was used to be known is the Mandrake's graphical
hardware detection tool, and it does a mighty job - it detects almost
anything and can configure some things (NICs where the first hardware that
it could configure). the new version also can configure sound cards, modems,
USB and SCSI things, and tv cards.
BTW - I spoke too soon -
Mandrake just released 7.2 . I'm still downloading it, but from what I can
see in their site, this one should be great, with almost anything you may
want out of a linux system straight out of the box.
