Hi,
Here are some things to check:
1. make sure you have a directory called lp in: /var/spool/lpd
2. Check the documentation of the PPA_TEST and the PPA_PROBE - they contain info
(if I'm not mistaken about the printcap - what should be there and whats not)
3. make sure lpd is running. Do the following:
/etc/rc.d/init.d/lpd stop
/etc/rc.d/init.d/lpd start
4. try to print a simple text file. Create a text file (lets called it
hello.txt) and try to print it with: lpr hello.txt
If this is not working, send an email with the /etc/printcap as attachment
Thanks
Hetz
PS: printtool is the last tool that I would trust. most of the time it doesn't
even create the lp directory right
