Those are unicode fonts. They can also be mapped to iso8859, but (at least
with redhat 6.x's xfs) you can also get the encoding iso10646-1 from
them. See the thread about ttmkfdir-heb in the ivrix-discuss archives.

BTW: As I wrote to ivrix-discuss, I tried aedit yesterday (have a look at
ftp://iglu.org.il/pub/Hebrew/Editors/Aedit/). Anyway -- it had no problem
to use the elmar fonts as well.

gnu unifont? Anybody tried this one?
