Fonts without a Unicode (iso-10646-1) encoding also work, as long
as they've got lots of encodings to offer (e.g. Monotype's
Arial, Courier New and Times New Roman -- you can get them at
http://www.microsoft.com/truetype/ and unpack with 'cabextract'
which can be found on Freshmeat).

There are also Bitstream's Cyberbit and the free Fixed
font with a Unicode encoding.
