But still...

redhat does come with gnorpm on its default desktop. I don't know sax too
well, but how does it compare with kpackage and gnorpm?

Speaking of rpm installation tools:

Mandrake has a program called urpmi for installing rpm packages from
repositories ("rpm medias") with the required dependencies. Mandrake's gui
for rpm installations (rpmdrake) uses urpmi.
urpmi has another feature that I disabled - the "u" is for user, and it is
an suid program (but I removed this bit). The idea here is that you allow
the user to install an rpm from a selected group of rpms.

How does rpmdrake compare with the guis mentioned above?
