I used majordomo for several years. mailman is very similar in the underlying structure, but is a clean rewrite in Python. The web interface is intuitive with common sensical options. The only gripe is that the configuration file are not in plain text but a python structure. But hey... >(or any other popular mailing list) and not mail ? A year ago, I looked around and settled for mailman.
