i had 'locking=yes' for two years now and had no problem, why now?

the man page says: Be  careful about disabling locking either globally
              or in a specific service, as lack  of  locking  may
              result in data corruption. You should never need to
              set this parameter.

              Default:
                   locking = yes

are you sure this is the right solutions ?
( and what does 'save as' has to do with locking ? )
