I hope the following is not absolute nonsense and I do not know what "Disk 
Druid" is but did you partition the disk and made room for the Linux dile 
systems?
When you are saying that you are not getting the graphic display are you sure 
that you should not see some console boot messages before the graphic display 
is available?
