My machine is always on, but after a power failure or any other time I do have to boot, if I try connecting with KPPP I get a message saying PPPD Daemon died. This happens the 1st, 2nd, and Nth time, BUT I discovered that if I run NETCFG and chose ACTIVATE from the menu, I get a connection. I then disconnect by chosing DEACTIVATE and from then on KPPP now works fine. Obviously NETCFG is doing some sort of initiallization, but I can't figure out what. > > Try turning on debug and kdebug 1, so you can see what the chat script How do you do that ?? After each KPPP failure, I get a window saying debug is not on and I chose to turn it on. Then on my next try I get some info that hasn't helped, but this is obviously not the debug you refer to. BTW - I'm useng GNOME on Mandrake 7.0. //------------------------- Shlomo Solomon E-Mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://come.to/shlomo.solomon Date: 02-Jul-2000 Time: 06:46:03 Message sent by XFMail on a LINUX Mandrake 7.0 machine //------------------------- ================================================================= To unsubscribe, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the word "unsubscribe" in the message body, e.g., run the command echo unsubscribe | mail [EMAIL PROTECTED]
