This happens the 1st, 2nd, and Nth time, BUT I discovered that if I run NETCFG and chose ACTIVATE from the menu, I get a connection. I then disconnect by chosing DEACTIVATE and from then on KPPP now works fine. After each KPPP failure, I get a window saying debug is not on and I chose to turn it on. Then on my next try I get some info that hasn't helped, but this is obviously not the debug you refer to.
