because netscape doesn't do antialiasing propperly, the English is ugly
too. hopefully Mozilla will improve it. try also a different font.

I like pine, other like mutt, and then others like GUIs so there is
Netscape messanger or Balsa or 2-3 different mail modes in Gemacs and
Xemacs, and the list is very long. don't start a religious argument,
just go try a few and then decide.

none, AFAIK. from the man page:
NOTES
Under previous sysvinit releases, reboot and halt should never
be called directly. From this release on halt and reboot invoke
shutdown(8) if the system is not in runlevel 0 or 6.
