BS>> I'm trying to find out if anyone actually uses linux as a company's VPN...
BS>> does it have the same functionality as Firewall-1 with VPN-1? (Checkpoint)

In fact, I'm interested in the thing too. Our needs are simple:

1. Firewall opening some set of ports to reach from outside and as
transparent as possible from inside.
2. Some VPN solution allowing to reach some more ports inside with use of
some key/password.
3. Some of these ports should be mobile-accessible (i.e., no fixed IPs,
etc.)
4. Easy solution for Windows and Linux to work with VPN part.
5. Server runs on Linux

Presently, those needs are almost satisfied by Linux ipchains acting as
firewall + SSH tunelling. The only problem is that setting up SSH to do
all needed port forwarding and configuring clients to use it could be
troublesome for some Windows users. So, is there some (possible for-money)
solution that would do considerably better?

BTW, I saw on Checkpoint page their VPN server/Firewall runs on Linux.
True? Any experiences?
