A question rose while I was trying to mirror Helix GNOME on linux.org.il. They require you to provide them a separate account so they could push critical updates right to each site. Thought I'm not sure that it can be done on ProFTPd at all, (I spent half my day trying, and still couldn't make it work) - anyone knows a way to create an username/password pair which'll be mapped to a real user once logged in? E.g. user: helixcode, password: 12345 ==> mapped to: mirror, group: mirror (real existing user/group) Authentication must be using the "12345" password. If this is possible in some fashion (without creating a separate passwd file and duplicating all records - I know this is possible), then would ProFTPd still think the user is "helixcode" when I use AllowUser/DenyUser ? -- Best regards, Ilya Konstantinov a.k.a Toastie [http://toast.demon.co.il] ================================================================= To unsubscribe, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the word "unsubscribe" in the message body, e.g., run the command echo unsubscribe | mail [EMAIL PROTECTED]
