Hi.
I think that you need first of all to deiced how you do the load balance
between them.
That can be done with simple round-robin in the DNS server (if you have
bind8+ then you have more options.)
After that you need to know what you are going to "backup" is it a web
server ? a FTP server or mail server ?
There are lots of programs (search tucows) for mirroring of FTP servers and
web servers.
Mail (pop3) is little more complicated.
