if you plan to do this meeting on friday's noon, i will be able to join in
and help with the planning (just as long as we get down to business and
write the full list of the exact installations to be done).
also, in order to see if we can actually take this off, i ask that people
that intend to get to the show as "showers" will write (to my mail box)
which dates they can come over on, and which part of the day (e.g. full
day, morning until noon, after 15:00, etc), and what kind of software they
currently feel comfortable in showing. i'll summarize everything in a
table, and place it in an accessible place. as i said, i'm already placing
myself for wednesday (remember, the show is 3 days, from tuseday 28th
until thurthday, the 30th. the first day begins at 12:00. the last day
would probably end up earlier then the other two, and thus i assume that
the 29th would be the longest day - could someone send the exact duration
for the show (i.e. beginning and ending hour for each day) so people would
know what exactly is required?
and folks - if you want to help, now is a good time. as i see it now, if
two linux qa people would be there (ury and friends) every day, and karl
and I are there as well one day each, it means that we only need 4 more
"person days" to get to the magical "4 people staffing the booth", and
that'll allow us to take off. this is just 4 poeple for full days, or 8
people for half days, or anything in between. note that 4 people will
allow each one to take a break (for lunch, for looking around, etc.) while
still leaving the booth in a "workable" state.
if i forgot someone that wrote in with a "me too" before, please re-mail
me, so i could have the full list made up.
i would also think that people who wish to help with the installations
(even they do not intend to come to the booth themselves) would be
appreciated as well - right, ury?
