Actually, the only proprietary "standard" is the way Netscape 4 is
working. IE5 and Mozilla adopted the open standard.

Special DHTML codes are the difference between random crashes of
Netscape and constant crashes. If you are looking for a way to
"quit" Netscape without using the "Quit" menu-item, you can't rely
on its feature to crash from time to time (actually, when you want
it to crash, it never crashes); But there are various pages on the
Net which can be used as a good replacement for Quit, and can be
even added to your bookmarks as "Quit the Browser"; Anytime you go
to one of these pages, your UNIX Netscape crashes.
