If I am not mistaken you were posting this message twice. I believe you also
considered switching to BSD in the process.
Although I can not help because I am using Debian I have the feeling that you
are giving up too quickly. Something more helpful that I might add is that you
might want to explore RH home page for their mailing lists and other info,
especially installation info. Another thing would be to email a more detailed
description of the problem. In particular, the exact messages that were
written to the screen shortly before the process termination.
Perhaps you should go for the text installation?
