As far as I see it, Yoram made a job offer, which has some justification
and some negative side (re-post). Instead of posting to him *only* on the
private channel to berate him, one of us decided to flame him in public,
and do so using terms which to me seemed rather offensive.
So Yoram decided to answer him - and as far as I can see, he did so in the
private channel, but again was answered on the public channel.
In short, it seems both sides' are not behaving ethically. So why not just
take this issue off the list, and just agree that:
(a) Job postings should be posted once only.
(b) If someone, knowingly or unknowingly, posts a job offer more than
once, flame him in private, and just put a reminder of this rule
on the public channel, so that other potential "offenders" won't
be tempted to think that it was not noticed.
And let's get on with linux, shall we?
