After being corrected, he forwarded the entire thing from bugtraq to the list to prove that he was right. Later, the author of that advisory later released another (more thorough) version of the advisory, which is what Ely forwarded here. Point being: None of this would have happened had people not thoughtlessly forwarded stuff from bugtraq to the list. I wasn't specifically trying to deal with Ely; that's what private email is for.
