Try to find in Amazon books about Linux/Unix - there are several books wich
indeed not so bad.
As one who are learning/working in this too, I can recommend the "Linux
Programming Unleashed" By SAMS.
Its a very extended book which talk about all the new methods of: RPM
programming, Network Programming, Web programming, Graphics Programming,
Device Drivers Programming, Kernel internals
Programming and more...
I think you will find this book or such similars, a very attractive
comprehended books.
