not to rediculous. i found that a good way to get things done is "first do
it, then talk about it". as you saw, you managed to put up a meeting
within few days, by doing, and when you did - people joined. our problem
tends to be that we make a lot of planning, and talk alot and argue alot.
this way, we never know if an idea is good or bad, cause they all stey
theoretical. if you do instead, "natural selection" will choose the
successfull initiatives, and kill the rest of them.
thus, you jerusalem people - you used to be active, when you had do-ers
(e.g. shay and ariel @huji simply organized the first or second ILUG
meeting, and with ira, various other events. since then, hardly anything
hapened in jerusalem. i'd suggest you find the lurking jerusalem people,
that apprently _can_ give interesting talks, and approach them to help
placing up a club. don't expect it to be large - a steady ~8-10
participants is better then planning for 30 and having nothing eventually.
with time and patience, more people will join in).

aim for small at first, get a steady club actually going. after that
stabilizes, try to aim higher. so far, you had the first large meeting.
expect it to be smaller on the next few meetings, and just continue,
regardless of any flames and lack of motiviation on behalf of some of the
people around here.. and first of all - ignore my criticism if it puts you
down.
