You forget that newbies, sometimes become 'oldies'. I.e. a newbie
asking questions one year, becomes an experienced user a year or two
later, who can answer other's questions ... maybe even your own.
You are cutting of your own growth.
I find the clear enmity this list has to newbies a put off, even for
people with linux experience.
It's kind of bizarre actually. It's not that the list is unfriendly to
newbies, as is evidenced by the list's help towards Dorit Ben
Shalom. Or is it only friendly towards female newbies?
Nor is it a problem with bandwidth, as is evidenced by the list's
preoccupation with a lone mistake a few weeks ago about some castle in
France.
So what is your problem?
Be helpful to a newbie once in a while, he'll be helpful to you.
