I just had somewhat of the same problem.
What solved it is to put the partition containing the kernel on a primery
partition (won't work from logical partition for me, gave me problems
defining it as the bootable partition).
i then needed to define it as the bootable partition, install lilo on it
and load winsows from lilo, as other=...
