Hi,
I'm coming to you with a cry for help. ;-)
Last week I decided to give Linux a shot, and installed RedHat 6.1. I've
been busy configuring my system, until I found myself in need to connect to
the Internet, and remembered that no ISDN driver was installed. After
extensive reading of various FAQs, HOWTOs, readme's and scanning this list's
archives, I tried to install the driver, only to find that it doesn't want
to load.
My PCI ISDN modem was apparently manufactured by TigerJet (received from the
late isdn.net). When I try to load the HiSax driver (card type=20; NETJet,
as recommended in a mini-FAQ I read), I receive the following messages:

[root@tty1 21:14:09 /root]# modprobe hisax type=20 protocol=2
ISDN subsystem Rev: 1.87/1.74/1.92/1.54/1.17/1.2 loaded
NETjet: IRQ(10) getting no interrupts during init 1
NETjet: IRQ(10) getting no interrupts during init 2
NETjet: IRQ(10) getting no interrupts during init 3
HiSax: Card NETjet not installed!
/lib/modules/2.2.12-20/misc/hisax.o: init_module: Device or resource busy
ISDN-subsystem unloaded

I tried compiling a custom kernel, even compiled the latest experimental
kernel (2.3.28), but to no avail. Then I figured it must be some PCI related
thing, and went to play with my BIOS. I changed the card's IRQ and even put
it on its own separate IRQ, but still got the same message. KISDN doesn't
recognize my modem either.
This problem doesn't seem to be limited only to me, since I found a similar
question on DejaNews (http://x36.deja.com/getdoc.xp?AN=460849722), but,
unfortunately, with no replies.
So, if anyone has experienced this problem, or has any good ideas, please
write.

Alex.
